The life of John F Kennedy is full of many ups and downs. He faced many hardships in his life but he did not compromise with his morals. He was born on 29 May 1917 into an affluent family of Irish-Catholics. He enjoyed a very high living standard—seeking education in elite private schools, having lots of helpers and servants and many other lavish things. He struggled a lot to make his own way by writing a best-selling book while he was an undergraduate student at Harvard University and volunteered himself during World War II. His wartime services made him a hero. After working as a journalist for a short stint, he made entry to politics. From 1947 to 1953, he served in the US House of Representatives from 1953 to 1961 in the US Senate. On January 20, 1961, he was sworn in as the 35th president of the US. The inaugural speech of Kennedy—my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country—still resonates in the ears of Americans. On 22nd November 1963, he was assassinated while he was in his limousine.

In January 1960, he announced his presidential candidacy. The senators Hubert H. Humphrey of Minnesota and Lyndon B. Johnson of Texas were his rivals. He defeated his rivals and became president. His presidential tenure lasted for two years from 1961 to 1963 during he fought against social taboos that have been plaguing the country for a long time. On Friday, November 22 1963, when he Kennedy was sitting in a limousine, which was moving slowly through downtown Dallas, was shot by two rifle bullets. He was declared brought dead after he was rushed to Parkland Memorial Hospital for treatment.
